Read odometer with Odomatic TM
Odomatic is a new product to read the odometer and fuel level on cars in North America. Odomatic works on more than 95% of cars from 2012 onwards and reads the true odometer value of the vehicle. Odomatic can even capture the odometer as it is broadcast around the vehicle without having to perform any invasive queries.
Odomatic can also read the fuel level on the approximately 20% of North American cars where this data is not available using the OBD II standard.
The unique Odomatic library can be used as a stand-alone library on a server or can be integrated directly into your telematics product.

The Fuel Level is an important and lucrative parameter for telematics but it is not supported by all vehicles. OBD II Fuel Level is only supported on between 52% and 86% of cars in North America. OdomaticTM not only reads the Fuel Level (%) on all vehicles but can also, in some cases, provide a more accurate measurement of the fuel in the tank in gallons or liters.
Odometer is not an OBD II parameter but the OdomaticTM library lets you read the Odometer on most cars from 2012 in North America. Not only does OdomaticTM unlock this important piece of hidden data but OdomaticTM can, in many cases, read the Odometer directly as it is broadcast around the vehicle without performing any invasive query.

Want to be sue we cover a specific vehicle/ range of vehicles? Just ask us and we’ll respond.
We read the vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The information contained within the VIN is then decoded to tell us the Make, Model, Engine Size and Year. Knowing this information we are then able to provide you with the data to request or capture the raw value and the mathematical formula to apply to give you the data you need.
Odomatic works in two ways. It can query the Odometer and Fuel Level parameters from the vehicle. Also, in many cases Odomatic can interpret the CAN messages already being broadcast around the car to read the Odometer (and in rare cases fuel). This ability to use existing messages to read the Odometer without using any of the vehicle’s communication bandwidth is unique to Odomatic.
Either one is fine. Odomatic is licensed as a library that can reside on a server or directly on the device.
